Spring Mini Rendezvous Saturday, April 16, 2016

Spring is here and it's time for our first mini rendezvous of the year with a one day shooting event open to club members and their guests. SCML is a small club without access to a large property such as BLM land or a friendly ranch that would accommodate multitudes of shooters, campers, traders and the public. We do have, luckily, club members who have land suitable for trail walks and are generous enough to offer their hospitality to club members and their guests for a day of shooting, eating and general camaraderie.

Ron and JoAnn Wisler are our hosts at their ranch near Mount Hamilton. This year's mini rendezvous will be Saturday, April 16. There will be no rifle shoot at Scotts Valley Sportsman's Club in April. April rifle aggregate targets may be made up at the next like shoot attended.

The Wisler ranch is hilly with no space for trailer camping but there is room for tent camping for those who may wish to spend the weekend.

There is a rifle trail walk with a variety of targets at varying distances that clang, bang, swing or disintegrate and a separate tomahawk and knife trail walk.

Potluck lunch follows.

This is a blanket shoot so bring a prize to put on the blanket if you want to take a prize off of the blanket. The prize does not need to be shooting related but should be equivalent to the cost of a can of powder.

Choosing prizes off the blanket is in descending score order.

Bring a potluck dish to share. The club will provide Corralitos Market sausages.

The shoot fee for a mini rendezvous is $6.

Location: 15005 Kincaid Rd., Mt. Hamilton
Date: Saturday, April 16, 2015
Time: trail walk opens at 9 AM
